Discrimination is different from bias and stereotyping because it is denial of chances and/or rights to an person or group. Prejudice is a negative attitude towards a peculiar group of people. non by actions but by race. ethnicity. faith. gender. and age. Stereotyping is the belief that all individuals of a peculiar group commit the same actions. a illustration is that all African americans are stealers. Stereotypes are a false belief but still entirely do non take away from the group the stereotypes are placed upon.

What are the causes of favoritism?

Discrimination is caused by both bias and stereotypes. Prejudice causes favoritism through the dominant group in society that has an attitude towards a peculiar group based on race. ethnicity. faith. age. sexual orientation. disablement and gender. The dominant group feels that the minority group is inferior to them and should non be given equal rights that they receive themselves. Pigeonholing causes favoritism because the dominant group falsely feels that a individual of a different group all act the same and through this they can non be trusted with the same equal rights and chances that are given to the dominant group.

I feel that favoritism is faced otherwise by each individuality group. Each individuality group is discriminated against otherwise based upon the bias and stereotypes placed upon them by the dominant group. The individuality group must work towards educating the dominant group that the denying of equal chances and rights is based upon the false stereotypes and attitudes directed towards their individuality group by the dominant group and that they should so have the same rights and chances. Each individuality group faces different obstructions when discriminated against. whether it be physical obstructions or psychological obstructions. When taking on these obstructions in order to derive equal rights and chances. a different attack must be taken by that individuality group to discredit the logical thinking for the denial of the rights and chances.
