The drama Macbeth was written in 1606 by William Shakespeare. It s about a brave Scottish general named Macbeth who receives a prognostication from three sinister enchantresss. The prognostication stated that he would be crowned male monarch of Scotland ; this combined with Macbeth s ambitious personality tempts him to slay the male monarch. Macbeth s married woman appears to be sort and gentle but she has implicit in sinister connotations. Macbeth finally kills the male monarch with aid from his married woman.
