( I, i, 15-18 ) The difference will be his tone of voice, Theseus will sound unagitated and loving towards Hipolyta. The key, in my production, to maintaining these lines and doing the audience believe Theseus and Hipolyta are in love will be the add-on of a opening scene.
The gap scene in this newest production of A Midsummer s Night s Dream will dwell of a war in which the Atheaneans are contending the Amazonian people. From there we go straight to Hipolyta s throne, where she sits entirely, Theseus flings open the dual doors to run into the beautiful queen. Theseus and hipolyta intermission as they stare at one another, so Hipolyta smiles every bit if to state, I have been defeated and I am in awe of your power.
