The first theoretician I chose is Urie Bronfenbrenner. Bronfenbrenner developed the ecological theory which explained how everything in a kid and their environment affects how a kid grows and develops. Bronfenbrenner’s theory consisted of four systems. The microsystem which is the immediate environment consists of household. friends. school. and the vicinity the kid lives in. The mesosystem is the 2nd system which describes how the different parts of the microsystem work together. The 3rd system is the exosystem consists of people and topographic points that the kid does non hold immediate contact with. but the kid is still affected by them. The concluding system is the macrosystem describes the cultural facets such as economic position. cultural values. and political relations. The 2nd theoretician I chose is Jean Piaget. Piaget’s theory was based off of four different phases of cognitive development. Piaget’s first phase is sensorimotor which lasts from the ages of birth to 2. During this phase babies learn by responding to what they experience through their senses. During the preoperational phase which lasts from the ages 2 to 7. kids use mental symbols to understand and interact.

Children Begin to larn and utilize linguistic communication in this phase. In the concrete operational phase which lasts from the ages of 7-11 kids gain the ability to believe logically to work out jobs and form information. The concluding phase which is formal operational Begins around the age of 11. Older kids begin to believe more abstractly when work outing jobs. The 3rd theoretician I chose is Erik Erikson. Erikson’s has 8 phases in his psychosocial theory of development. The phases are in order in which they unfold: trust versus misgiving ; autonomy versus shame and uncertainty ; inaugural versus guilt ; industry versus lower status ; individuality versus individuality diffusion ; familiarity versus isolation ; generativity versus stagnancy ; and unity versus desperation. Each phase explains what types of stimulation kids need to get the hang that phase and go productive and good – adjusted members of society and explains the types of jobs and developmental holds that can ensue when this stimulation does non happen.
