They are the services supplier for the 17 metropoliss and municipalities that comprise the West Zone of the greater Metro Manila country ( 540 square kilometres ) and about a million of consumers. They have two major beginning: The Angat Dam and the Laguna Lake. They get about 97 % of H2O from Angat dike. The works consists of seven procedures. viz. . testing. coagulation/flocculation. sedimentation/clarification. filtration and disinfection.

Next. coagulation/flocculation. coagulators are assorted uniformly with H2O to be treated to do atoms into flocs so that it can be easy to settle. La Mesa Treatment works No. 1 is a conventional type and has a capacity of 1500MLD and the overload capacity 1600MLD while La Mesa Treatment works No. 2 is a pulsator-type and has a capacity of 900MLD. The flocs are so made to settle down in deposit basin. Detention clip is approximately two hours. After the deposit procedure. the H2O to be treated is passed through a media dwelling of several beds of ranked sand and anthracite wood coal to test out all foreign atoms which did non settle down in deposit basin.
