1 ) Adam Cooper, a immature adult male that fought the British at the age of 15. During that conflict he witnessed the tragic decease of his male parent. From the decease of his male parent he learned to be a adult male and knew he would hold to take attention of his household. His male parent ne’er one time showed him that he loved him by words or actions, until the dark before he died. His male parent talked to him and set his arm around him. Until that dark his male parent had ne’er showed him love. So he besides learned that his male parent did love him after all.

2 ) Moses Cooper, male parent of Adam, was a really rigorous male parent, he was ever doing Adam work and ne’er one time showed compassion towards him, until the dark before his decease. He was shot in the thorax and killed during the conflict against the British. What Moses learned is that his boy was now a adult male, and that if he died that forenoon, he would be able to back up the household. He learned this while they talked the dark before his decease.

3 ) Solomon Chandler, a 61 twelvemonth old adult male who helped Adam out while he was concealing from the British. They met when Adam was running from the British in the forests and ran into Solomon. Solomon grabbed him, at first Adam was scared and tried to acquire off but Solomon convinced him that he was non traveling to harm him. Solomon told Adam that he would hold to wait a piece to be able to walk back to his house. So Solomon comforted him and made him experience better about his male parents decease, he besides fed him. Solomon learned that the British were here, because before Adam told him he didn & # 8217 ; t cognize until he saw them processing. My favourite character in this book was Adam Cooper. He was a immature adult male that fought against the British at the age of 15. During that conflict he witnessed the decease of his male parent right in forepart of him. Out of all of the characters in this book I chose him because I have the most respect for. The ground why I say that is because I will ne’er hold to travel through such a unsmooth life like he did. Turning up he had a really rigorous male parent. He was ever making jobs, and everything he did it seemed like it wasn & # 8217 ; t good plenty for his male parent. He was ever upset about that and thought that his male parent didn & # 8217 ; t love him. This continued for a piece. His pa ever went to town meetings and his pa would ne’er travel, stating he wasn & # 8217 ; t adult male adequate yet. He eventually let him get down traveling, and they found out that the British were coming shortly, so they all had to acquire at that place guns and delay for them. All of the work forces went out to contend, and the female parents and kids stayed in. Adam & # 8217 ; s male parent allowed him to travel fight with him. Before they all met to acquire ready to contend the British his male parent talked to him, and said he was now a adult male, and was really proud of him. This was the lone compassion that his male parent of all time truly showed to him. This made Adam experience good and he realized that his male parent truly did lo

ve him. It is sad that less than 24 hours after his pa told him that he was shot and killed right in forepart of Adam. I truly felt bad for him after reading this, it is worsening that things happen that manner. It seemed that after that Adam and his male parent would of had a wholly different relationship after that, for the better. Adam handled his decease really good. He stepped up and comforted his small brother Levi, like he was his male parent. He knew that he was traveling to hold to be the adult male of his household, like the male parent, and he did. That is the one thing that I respected him the most for out of everything he did.

The one event that stands out to me in being the most of import 1 is when his male parent negotiations to him about how if something were to go on to him he would hold a heavy load, and when he said that he was glad to see him out at that place with him. He put his manus on his shoulder while he said that, so said god bless you. This was the closest that his male parent had of all time came to a gesture of existent fondness. This made Adam experience truly good. The ground why I say this is the most of import minute on the book is because it allow Adam cognize that his pa truly did love him. It was sad to see that after that his farther died the following forenoon during the conflict against the British. If his pa didn & # 8217 ; t speak to him that dark, I don & # 8217 ; t think that Adam would of been able to manage his decease every bit good as he did. Knowing that his pa truly did love him made him take it more like a adult male. If his pa had non said that to him, he would non of took his decease every bit good. He would of been more disquieted non cognizing if his pa loved him or non. Knowing that he ne’er one time said I love you, or showed fondness to him would of do him more baffled and cognizing if he loved him or non. That is why that is the most of import portion in the book. It made him manage the loss better.

The chief thought of this book was that you may non believe you can win because you are out numbered, the truth is that you can win if you believed. This was proved in the book when they came back in round the British in the conflict of Lexington. The had already been beaten by them one time, and they were out numbered, but they believed they could. And they beat them.

1 ) This book made me recognize that I don & # 8217 ; Ts have it so bad and I should be thankful with what I have.

2 ) This book made me inquire about the life styles of people around 1775. And what sort of individual I would be if I grew up during that twenty-four hours in age.

3 ) This book made me believe that some bad things that happen for a ground. Like when before they battled the British his male parent gave him that address that proved that he did love him. If he wasn & # 8217 ; t about to travel into that conflict and cognize he might decease, he wouldn & # 8217 ; T of told him that. That happened for a ground, the ground was so Adam knew that his farther did love him.

4 ) This book made me hope that I will ne’er hold to travel through anything that he went through. I wouldn & # 8217 ; t be able to take it every bit good as he did.
