Self-love is the narcissistic sense of ego, but paradoxically underneath this attitude, the narcist is merely a victim of a delicate low self-pride. It is the underlying sense of lower status that is the existent job of the narcist, and their pretence is merely a camouflage used to cover their deeper feelings of insufficiency. Since narcists are frequently incapable of asseverating echt self-meaning, they seek esteem from others because they desire credence and blessing ( as we all do ) but lack the ability to happen any from within.
