Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas

Frederick Douglas, a slave born in Tuckahoe Maryland, was half white and half black. His female parent was a black adult female and his male parent a white adult male. Though he ne’er knew his male parent, there was word that it was his maestro. Douglas wrote this narrative and I felt that it was really compelling.
