France was ever a metropolis of enigma so therefore it was known by many different names. Paris was known as the metropolis of love and metropolis of visible radiations. Palace of Versailles was known to be the greatest architectural work of France. France was known as the first European state to subvert the monarchy. It was the stepping rock to democracy. By standing against the male monarch. the people of France showed that the power of the people was greater than the monarchy. But how did they go a democracy? Where did they happen the bravery for standing up against the male monarch? The Gallic people had many grounds from where they got the bravery to stand against the male monarch. The most of import of these grounds are unjust taxing. societal inequality between the three estates and the Declaration of American Independence. The first cause of the Gallic Revolution was the high revenue enhancements that the 3rd estate was required to pay. “Price of staff of life had risen among the people’s ability to pay” ( Doc. 1 ) . This meant that any money for the staff of life. they couldn’t buy staff of life for their starved households. “The runs and the feudal dues are oppressing us” ( Doc. 1 ) .

Tax of the lands and places of the people of the 3rd estate took off most of their money because they had to pay for the excessive disbursement of the Lords and clergy. Jealousy was besides an of import factor to do people lift up against the male monarch. Since they hated the excessive lifestyle the male monarch was populating out of their money they rose up together against the male monarch. “A crowd of angry adult females stormed the castle and forced Louis XVI. Marie Antoinette and their household to return to Paris with them” ( Pg 513 ) . Since they didn’t have enough to eat and farming was impossible without H2O and seeds which cost money. they revolted against the unfairness of the monarchy to go a democracy. The 2nd ground why the Gallic Revolution occurred is because of the favoritism of the 3rd estate. The first and 2nd estates which consisted of clergy and Lords had a batch of privileges. They were really rich because they didn’t lose money paying the revenue enhancements. feudal dues. runs and the tithes that the 3rd estate had to pay. “Lands held by the aristocracy are taxed really little” ( Doc. 1 ) . This shows that they have more privileges than the 3rd estate. But why do they have all these privileges?

Why couldn’t the male monarch equal the revenue enhancements among them? This is because the male monarch needed the first and 2nd estate to work together to O.K. his revenue enhancements so he could acquire more money. The people of the 3rd estate were besides financially insecure as they weren’t rich plenty to purchase land from the Lords and clergy. “The diagram represents the fact that even though the clergy and Lords were a minority they owned about half of France’s land” ( Doc. 2 ) . Since the land wasn’t divided among the estates reasonably. the Gallic people revolted so that they could acquire more land from the Lords and clergy. They were provoked at the fact that they didn’t have much land to turn nutrient in and that the Lords and clergy wouldn’t assist them last. This is the ground why they pushed for equality and fraternity in the Gallic Constitution.
