In many of Rich & # 8217 ; s works she talks about being oppressed. In the verse form, & # 8220 ; 1948: Jews & # 8221 ; , & # 8220 ; Two Arts & # 8221 ; , and & # 8220 ; A Vision & # 8221 ; there is a subject of subjugation. In the verse form & # 8221 ; 1948: Jews & # 8221 ; , Rich refers to her college old ages. At her college, she was to remain off from Jews. I like reading verse forms that are more actual, to me they have more value.
This verse form differs from the others in many ways. This verse form is more like a phantasy of what it would be like to be perfect. This about seems like a childhood dream ; to be person your non. She says that her poesy in this book is edgy, long-winded, and politically motivated. She says this is a feminist vision. Its poesy that is man-hating. It tries to set great thought behind political issues and use it to poetry. It doesn & # 8217 ; t work. I agree, for illustration the verse form & # 8220 ; A Vision & # 8221 ; was about Simone Weil a fellow adult female who was persecuted. This is all right. What I didn & # 8217 ; t like was the & # 8220 ; girl power & # 8221 ; turn that was added. I thought the verse form was non really clear ( Kilgore 22 ) .
Adrienne Rich is a superb author and poet. She wrote many superb verse forms with many great subjects.
