I went to see Overture to King Stephen. Op. 117 and Symphony No. 2 in D major. Op. 36. both composed by Ludwig new wave Beethoven and performed by Los Angeles Philharmonic at Disney Hall on December 31 2012. The first piece I am traveling to discourse is the overture to King Stephen. Op. 117. It was composed by Ludwig new wave Beethoven ( 1770-1827 ) . one of the greatest German composer in the Western musical tradition. The genre of this composing is overture that is the instrumental debut to the work King Stephen. The whole work has ten motions which are typical of the Classical manner and the genre is oratorio. This overture motion is double metre. and it is in the andante con moto signifier. In my sentiment. this overture is a plan music that shows the scene when the first male monarch of Hungary enthroned and it besides draw a image of the beautiful scenery of Hungary.
