Timothy Findley shows how Science and Religion can non coexist. Through sagely chosen characters and events that symbolizes scientific discipline and faith. Findley was able to demo how they can non co-exist without injury done. First. scientific discipline is a word that was derived from Latin “Scienca” which means cognition. Ironically. the beginning of worlds enduring came from Adam and Eve eating the fruit of the tree of life/knowledge. The chief character that symbolizes scientific discipline is Ham. and is besides the hubby of Lucy who is otherwise known as Lucifer. In other words. Science is associated with those who question or disobey God such as Lucy and Adam and Eve. Similarly to Eve.
