World Population Day Essay Sample
Celebration of World Population Day at IIPS The World Population Day was celebrated at the International Institute for Population Sciences Mumbai on 11th July 2012. A argument on ‘Abortion: Pro-life vs. Pro-choice’ was organized in the institute premises to observe the World Population Day. Mr. Rajan Kumar Gupt ( PhD pupil ) . Ms. Garima Dutta ( PhD pupil ) . Mr. Castor Valbum Badstue ( short-run class participant ) . Ms. Shraboni Patra ( PhD pupil ) . Mr. Mayank Prakash ( PhD pupil ) . and Ms. Kshipra Jain ( PhD pupil ) participated in the argument. The module members. staff. and pupils of the institute attended the argument. The trainees from Nordic states and distance scholars besides got an chance to go to the argument. Furthermore. the module members of the Institute visited a figure of colleges in Mumbai to present particular talks on ‘Population. Health and Development’ related issues during July 02-11. 2012. An essay composing competition was besides organized for the pupils from assorted colleges of Mumbai on 9th July 2012.
The essay composing competition was divided into two classs. The first class included undergraduate pupils from different colleges of Mumbai. The 2nd class included M. Phil. /PhD pupils from IIPS. 10 pupils from undergraduate class and 8 pupils from M. Phil. /PhD class participated in the competition. The undergraduate pupils were asked to compose an essay on ‘Population of India: Asset or Burden? ’ M. Phil. /PhD pupils were asked to compose an essay on ‘Urban Housing in India’ . The Institute felicitated two pupils from the undergraduate class and one pupil from the M. Phil/PhD class for their overall public presentation in the essay competition. All other pupils who participated in the essay competition and argument were felicitated with a certification of engagement. The colleges of the victorious pupils were besides given IIPS souvenir on this juncture to admit their part in doing the jubilation of World Population Day at IIPS a great success. The World Population Day was organized by Dr. Chander Sekher. Dr. Abhishek Singh. and Mr. Prakash H. Fulpagare under the counsel of Dr. F. Ram. Director & A ; Senior Professor of IIPS.
